Priceline Hotel: 5* Chicago

Hi,

I'm trying to book a special anniversary trip for a night in a 5* hotel in Chicago on the 8/28.

Only one option is coming up on HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS and I think it's the Trump. Unfortunately I would rather not stay there as we stayed last year. Do you think I'm correct with my guess?

If you have had any PRICELINE / HOTWIRE purchase in the 6+ years since joining the board it would be appreciated if you started to share your wins so that others can benefit from the information, just as you are hoping to benefit from those who have posted before you.

 

For the HOTWIRE property The Trump does seem the most likely, but the Four Seasons would be a possibility as well.

 

For the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, Langham, and Trump would all be likely candidates.

Thanks for your help. I haven't had any wins as I either booked a hotel direct or the trip was cancelled. I think I won't take the risk on this booking too as I don't want to stay in the Trump!

I'll definitely add any trips I do book to the board. Thanks again.

There's some great 4/4.5* options during these dates, as well. While not 5*, these options would also be significantly cheaper. I'll also note that Lake Geneva is a resort town about 75-90 minutes North/NW of Chicago, with some beautiful properties (Grand Geneva, for example) if you are looking for a quieter, romantic getaway option. I'm quite familiar with the area and would be happy to offer suggestions if interested.

Thank you for your help! I booked a room at Soho House in the end but may do an extra night somewhere else on Monday with an on the day booking. Any tips for the best strategy to book on the day through either Priceline or Hotwire?
