Priceline Hotel: 4.5* Maui (Wailea - Makena)

Hi all,

 

Traveling to Maul on September 9th - 12th and am aiming to stay at 4.5*, preferably Andaz Maui (I sound like E46Evan) or maybe the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui. My max.is $350 USD/night, but I'd like to keep it below $300 preferably - is this realistic? I'm seeing $464 on Priceline for the Andaz and $491 unlocked for the Fairmont. I've already went through the initial bidding process starting at $200 to $280, but no luck. Any suggestions?

 

There is a current PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 4.5* hotel deal at $389-390/night with the following amenities. It's much more than what I'd like to pay, especially with a total mandatory fee of $125, but think it's the Andaz with these 6 features?

Pool

Biz Center

Fitness Center

Internet

No Smoking

This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported, but a guess would be the Andaz with the addition of no-smoking since last reported to the board.

Thanks and I've actually used this site in the past for help with a hotel booking in Vancouver, as well. Really like the site.

 

I'd prefer to cap my budget at $350/night for the Andaz. For other alternatives in the area, I think I would prefer to keep it around $300. What other alternatives in the area do you think I could realistically land around that rate?
