Caliskywatcher Posted August 18, 2016 Report Posted August 18, 2016 This is a quick anniversary weekend getaway and leaving the kids at home! I would appreciate guidance on how to locate a great deal for Mandalay Bay or a 5* with casino/resort.. Anything but Trump (I've had enough of hearing this name). I have only used priceline a few times and have no experience with hotwire. Happy to use the priceline or HOTWIRE links here and ready to bid! Also taking advice on any good shows and tips on how to not get ripped off. Thanks so much for any assistance!
Caliskywatcher Posted August 18, 2016 Author Report Posted August 18, 2016 Last minute anniversary trip and hoping for a great resort for this weekend! I've never stayed at Mandalay Bay but heard it is nice. Open to something else too! 8/19-/21 Room rate: Open to any good deal. Any tips on bidding would be very helpful. Looking for a great deal and any advice. Of course I'll use the links here! Thank you!!!! Also other travel tips welcome as far as shows, restaurants, etc!
lamusic Posted August 18, 2016 Report Posted August 18, 2016 Booked through Expedia. During the week the rates are cheap. I paid $100 plus resort fees and taxes for Delano.
AaronJB Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 Welcome to Betterbidding! Congrats on your anniversary and hope you are looking forward to your stay. What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? If you don't want the Trump (and if you want a casino on the property), then I would not bid (because there's no way to avoid the Trump if you bid 5* North Strip - and could potentially be upgraded to 5* if you bid at a lower level for that zone) and would instead be looking at PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
Caliskywatcher Posted August 19, 2016 Author Report Posted August 19, 2016 $150-250 per night would work great. I'm not very good at breaking down the hotels by looking at amenities. Any idea what might be on priceline express?
Caliskywatcher Posted August 19, 2016 Author Report Posted August 19, 2016 Eyeing the Encore or something really nice. At $500/night it is out of budget... but at 1/2 price it is appealing! Any suggestions on how to get it or something similar? Thank you in advance!
thereuare Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 I believe i'm currently seeing the following: The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino for $222/nite Aria Resort and Casino for $211/nite Either of the above of interest? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
