Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Westchester County (Rye - White Plains) Doral Arrowwood

This will be my first time attempting to use Priceline's Name Your Own Price. I've stayed in the Rye area once at Courtyard Rye before discovering this and would like to stay here again. Another option would Hilton Westchester. How would I go about this?

When using NYOP, you have to be willing to stay at any of the hotels at the star rating picked in the zone chosen. If you pick 3*, for example, you are bidding on any of the 3*'s in the zone and there is the possibility that you could be upgraded to 3.5*. One of the trade-offs of the discounted rates is having to have more flexibility as to where you stay.

 

HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS are somewhat more expensive than bidding, but one can often make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing on those services based on the information given. Still, you are limited to the hotels offered for your dates, which may be one or two at a particular star rating in a particular area for your set of dates.

 

Would the Courtyard or Hilton be the only hotels of interest? What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay?

Change of plans. My new check in date is 10/06, check out is 10/10. It seems like Hilton Westchester is completely booked on those dates. My maximum bid would be ~$100. I would prefer to stay in Rye, closer to Port Chester.

So to confirm you only want to bid the Rye-White Plains zone on PRICELINE? (NOTE: you will need to be willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the zone as you can't target a specific section of a zone when bidding on PRICELINE)

 

If the Doral Arrowwood would work for your needs i think that can be booked for $125/nite... otherwise i think you're looking closer to the $120-$140 area for a 3* in the Rye-White Plains zone.
