Priceline Hotel: 4* New York City (Empire State Building) Avalon Hotel

I am looking for a 5* Hotel in NYC from 9/29 - 10/02. Preferred Areas would be:

 

Times Square

Rockefeller

Empire State

 

Any chance of finding something in the $250 range? If not what would be the rates in these areas? Or what areas would have the hotels at these rates?

At current rates i don't think you will find a 5* hotel in the zones above, or any zones for that matter, for $250 or under... you would need to be in the $325-$350 area and include zones such as Downtown, Soho, and/or Chelsea.

 

You could,. however, get some very nice 4.5* properties for around the $250 area (confirm your dates on the landing page of each of the following):

4.5* Central Park South for $208/nite with:

Pets Allowed

Business Center

Restaurant

Indoor or Outdoor Pool

Fitness Center

==> Le Parker Meridien New York would be my best guess for this one

 

4.5* Rockefeller Center - Bryant Park for $261/nite with:

Pets Allowed

Restaurant

Free Internet

Fitness Center

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

==> my guess here would be the Sofitel New York

 

4.5* Madison Square Garden hotel for $267/nite with:

Pets Allowed

Business Center

Free Internet

Fitness Center

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

==> likely the Even Hotel New York Times Square South which is a new hotel that has been getting very good reviews

how come when i checked the links

 

i get

 

- first link : $257/night

- second : $322/night

- third : $329/night

 

all in USD

 

and that doesn't include tax etc yet.

 

just wondering if it's because i browse from Australia?

Our links above do not include taxes/fees... it looks like the rates you're seeing include taxes/fees (but neither include resort fees which are payable directly to the hotel)

Thanks for the help. Changed to search parameters to 4* - Empire State/Times Square/Rockefeller bids starting from $150. Finally got this at $190. Total cost with taxes & fees = $709.8
