tracyalice Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Hi, I've never used Priceline before but I am thinking of trying it out for an upcoming anniversary trip to Chicago. I am looking for the best price that I can get on a 4* hotel in (Millenium Park, Loop, Grant Park area) for two nights 3-13 and 3-14. I need some tips on a strategy. I would like to end up at the Hard Rock Hotel but any of the 4* in that area would work. Thanks.
thereuare Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid? We'll be happy to suggest a strategy to follow, but wouldn't want to go higher than you want to spend. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
tracyalice Posted February 7, 2006 Author Report Posted February 7, 2006 I am looking to stay under $100 a night if possible.
thereuare Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 At the 4* level in Chicago you have two re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Loop...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Loop and re-bid zone2Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80.If the above is not successful don't get discouraged, we'll revise the strategy for your next round of bidding.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
