lll111
Need Help for 4* Hotel in Niagara Falls Ontario for Aug 10 to Aug 12th, would like Marriott and would like to pay around $160 if possible. Should I bid now or in a few days closer to the time. Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your trip, it all depends how actual demand (new reservations/cancellations) come in relative to expected demand (although with only a week until check-in you are already pretty close and hotels already have a very good idea of what their occupancy will be for these dates). At current rates i think your $160 budget will likely fall a bit short, but if you wanted to give it a try anyway: When bidding 4* in the Niagara Falls region you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 4* Niagara Falls - Fallsview Blvd... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $160 Any questions feel free to ask (especially confirming your re-bid zones if you're new to the subject or unsure) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. lll111
What is a good budget for the current rate? What should I aim for? PRICELINE has 2 hotels that are 4* in the zone I want, how do I know which hotel I am bidding on? The PRICELINE EXPRESS deal price for both hotels has a difference of about $50. Link to comment
AaronJB
You cannot know which hotel you are bidding on, which is part of the trade-off for discounted rates. When you bid, you have to be willing to accept any hotel at the star rating picked in the zone chosen (or potentially being upgraded to a higher star rating if one exists in the zone.) Are you willing to accept any hotel or is the Marriott the only one you are looking for? The suggested bidding strategy above is worth trying first and then if that is not successful, we can go from there. Please let us know if you have any questions about the process before starting your bidding. lll111
I am looking in the Fallsview Zone The 4* Hotels are not being offered in the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals anymore. I am thinking of maybe getting a Hotel in the Niagra on the Lake area, there is one hotel offered that is a resort in the St Catherins area that is 4* Can you help me to determine which Hotel it is. Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
I am not seeing any 4* hotels offered thru PRICELINE EXPRESS when searching for your dates... if you're still seeing a PRICELINE EXPRESS that you're interested in please provide the full details of the listing (star rating, zone (as listed on PRICELINE), room rate per nite, and amenities associated with the offer)... this will help us more easily find the same property among the offers when we replicate your search.
