thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Parking Resort Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> if this is what you're seeing, best guess for this one would be Treasure Island Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
carlagomes
Thanks a lot. Also one question: do you know if I can get better prices using PRICELINE (bidding) than HOTWIRE for the same hotels? Link to comment
AaronJB
Bidding is generally slightly-to-mildly cheaper than PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE, but you have to be willing to be able to accept ANY hotel at the star rating picked in the zone chosen, as well as the possibility that you may be upgraded to a higher star rating. Let us know which path would be of interest and we would be happy to offer suggestions how to proceed. carlagomes
Thank you again for the helping! I'm already trying the bidding for some days, but since I have almost 2 months for the date of the trip, my bids are still too low. Do you know if as we get closer to the date, the prices tend to decrease? Link to comment
AaronJB
It's often thought that rates come down closer to the stay. This is definitely not always the case and has been the case less and less in the years since 2008 as traffic has ramped up. Rates may come down, but understand that waiting is a gamble and if rates go up they can go up quickly. What have you bid so far in terms of zone/max bid? carlagomes
Max. bid US$ 100 per night at Las Vegas Strip North and Las Vegas Strip South, 4 star and above. Link to comment
thereuare
To confirm... are you OK if your 4* bid is upgraded to a 5* hotel, such as The Trump, which is in the Strip North zone but sightly off-strip (and doesn't have a casino)? carlagomes
Yes... On PRICELINE I don't have the chance to choose The Strip Center, correct? Link to comment

In terms of bidding, many people do choose PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE in Vegas because they are looking for guaranteed casino on property, which PRICELINE bidding doesn't guarantee (whereas on PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE you can look for a listing with casino as an amenity.) Have you already bid up to $100/nite? I'm seeing what looks to be the SLS Las Vegas for $101/nite... would it be worth stretching your budget $1/nite to be 'done' with this and not have to continue bidding? My opinion is that the SLS is too far north and it would be worth a few extra dollars to be more centrally located, taking the HOTWIRE offer for $107/nite that is believed to be Treasure Island.
