lisa21
How can I tell which is which? Is the Palazzo the one with a 95% approval and Venetian is 90%? How can I tell one from the another? Link to comment
AaronJB
You can see the amenities that have been reported with each here: Hotwire Hotel List Nevada. The % approval is not a reliable indicator as to what a hotel may be as there's nothing to compare the current rating to. If you need help trying to ID a particular property, please provide the dates of your stay, room rate per nite, and the full list of amenities showing with the listing (go to BiddingHelper.com, search for your dates of travel, click "Hotwire Easy View", then "full amenities" next to the listing in question.) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. lisa21
Yes, I know, but the amenities appear to be identical. I'm looking at 10/1-10/4, both are $136. Link to comment

lisa21
Thanks, Aaron. What you indicated is what I thought, but unless I'm blind, I don't see laundry listed as a possible amenity for the Venetian on the Better Bidding list of possible amenities. That being said, the rate now has gone up...ugh. Link to comment
AaronJB
Are you looking more for the Venetian or Palazzo? I'm seeing the two 5* HOTWIRE listings for $140 now. There's a 5* on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $128 w/Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities and a user rating of 9+. The PRICELINE EXPRESS listing would be a possible match for the Palazzo. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. lisa21
Looking for Palazzo, but I want a room w/2 beds, an option that HW is giving. Guess I'll wait & see what happens. Still have over 2 months. Thanks!!! Link to comment
lisa21
One more question: What distinguishes Palazzo from Venetian in PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals? Again, amenities look the same. Link to comment

thereuare
I would not use the percent recommendations to try to determine any hotel that is being offered as we have often see this figure change from one search to the next (for the same hotel). You may be able to use this if the two figures are drastically different, for example if one hotel has a 30% recommendation and and the other has a 90% recommendation... but it's risky if the two are so close in value (not to mention that the lower rated hotel could suddenly increase in value based upon reviews that have been received by HOTWIRE... or the higher hotel could go lower in value based upon incoming reviews/comments) The amenities should be the primary means to research/identify hotels... any additional information should be supplemental and used to confirm your guess. MichiganTraveler
I thought I would get the VENETIAN, using the clues in this link to bid on hotwire.com: (a) 5-star All-suites Hotel in North Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes area (b) Complimentary -- Free Parking (c) Amenities -- Business center, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Resort, Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Suite However, I ended up getting the PALAZZO just now (November 11, 2017) with the following confirmation: (1) Amenities -- Suite, Resort, Free parking, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services (2) Accessibility -- Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Rather disappointed, because my family really wanted V -- for the atmosphere -- instead of P, though they're close to each other. But oh well...... pre-Vegas gamble loss...... Life goes on.... Link to comment
thereuare
MichiganTraveler, Welcome to BetterBidding! I see you have also posted your win here: Las Vegas Strip North Hotwire hotel (thanks!) but i will add some comments to this thread as well... to this thread You will see that this thread is over a year old and since that time the Palazzo has also been seen with a Laundry amenity (in addition to the Venentian)... always use the Hotwire Hotel List from the board as it contains all amenity combinations that a hotel has been seen with (as well as ask the board for help / confirmation of what it is that you think you' are likely about to receive). On a side note, the Venetian and Palazzo are nearly identical, and my advice is to always book whichever is cheaper, but when offered at the same price the Palazzo is the slightly better choice (imo) as it is newer (but really there is little difference between the two). Also, the two properties are not just near each other but they are also connected via a walkway, referred to as 'Restaurant Row' and it is easy to get from one to the other. Not sure what aspects of the Venetian you prefer over the Palazzo, but on my last stay at the Palazzo we were also allowed to use the pools at the Venetian (so if that was any bit part of the concern that is probably not an issue either) Enjoy your stay.
