sloth54 Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 Hello, I am going to Las Vegas from 9/8-9/11 and will be needing 6 rooms as I am proposing to my girlfriend on the 7th before we head out there as a surprise to meet up with my family and hers. Quite a few of the attendees have never been to Vegas so I want to be sure there is a casino and pool on the property. Going to a concert at Tmobile, so I think South Strip is our best bet. I see on priceline the following express deals and trying to figure out what hotels they are: 4.5 star - Las Vegas Strip South Area - $155 a night (from $242) - pets allowed, business center, restaurant, indoor or outdoor pool, fitness center, non smoking 4 star - Las Vegas Strip South Area - $106 a night (from $129) - business center, free internet, indoor or outdoor pool, fitness center, casino, non smoking Any guesses on what these are? I'd love to get in a Caesars, but not thinking that is an option with pricing.
AaronJB Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 Welcome to Betterbidding! Congrats on your upcoming proposal! Unfortunately, when I click on the 4.5* mentioned in your post, I'm getting a message that it's no longer available - are you also seeing the same message when searching? The 4* Strip South has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but a guess would be the MGM Grand. We would be more than happy to research options and look for more alternatives. Let us know a bit more on what you are looking for (budget, how many people per room/do you need more than one bed per room?) and we would be happy to look for other options. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
sloth54 Posted July 18, 2016 Author Report Posted July 18, 2016 Thanks Aaron! You are right, it is already gone. They may have just upped the price to the 4.5 star one that is $194 a night. Being that I am paying for 6 rooms for 3 nights, Id like to keep it around $150 a room or less. 5 of the rooms would be fine with just one king bed, but one of the rooms I would need 2 beds. The things that are a must are non smoking rooms, casino, outdoor pool and on the strip. Realistically it could be on any part of the strip, doesn't have to be south. Id be ok with that one if I was sure it would be MGM, or any other 4 stars that are on the nicer end. I just want a place everyone can have fun and not feel like we are in a dump. Thanks again for your help! This site is fantastic.
AaronJB Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 Happy to help! I'm seeing when searching for HOTWIRE for these dates for 6 rooms, 9/8-11, 2 adults per room: 4* South Strip Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Spa, Free Parking, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower $125 ==>> The Tropicana has been seen with this amenity set previously, so that would be my guess. I'm also seeing a 4* on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $92 in Strip North but unfortunately, that listing is also showing no longer available when I click on it. I do think that the "no longer available" issues in this case may be because there are not 6 rooms available. For example, this $92 listing seems to be available when searching for 5 rooms, but not 6. With the discount services, there is not a guarantee of bed type unless the listing specifically offers a bed choice option. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any 4/4.5*'s on the strip under $150 with bed choice as an option, so you would have to call the hotel to try and work out bed choice after purchase if you bought via PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE. One other interesting regular rate deal is for the Signature at MGM Grand. When I search for 6 rooms on PRICELINE, I see one of the options as a Deluxe Suite Deal w/$50 Resort Credit. "Room Details: Deluxe Suite - 50 USD Resort Credit per stay - Please note: A USD 50 resort credit per stay is included with this special offer room. This suite also features a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, a seating area and a sofa bed." This is a bit over your budget, but you do get the resort credit and I do see this as refundable (do look at the fine print and confirm the exact cancellation policy), so perhaps something to consider. If refundable, then it gives you some flexibility as you have something in place and can cancel/jump to a better deal if something else came along (although again, double check when you can cancel up to in terms of exact date/time, as well as any other fine print details.) The Signature is connected to the MGM Grand and then you would have access to the casino there. Let us know your thoughts on the above and please let us know if we can be of further help. Definitely let us know if you have any questions before booking. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
