morggie210 Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Hello, My husband and I are looking for a hotel near the magnificent mile area for $100/night max (I know...the unicorn). We found the following but reviews aren't that good: Magnificent Mile - Water Tower area boutique hotel - $91/night - 4 Stars Boutique Hotel, Business Ctr, Fitness Ctr, Internet Access, Restaurant, Smoke-free Rooms Accessibility: Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, Path of Travel. Should we wait some time or proceed to book this one? Thanks :)
thereuare Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Welcome to BetterBidding! I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower ==> if this is what you're seeing the Warwick Allerton Hotel Chicago would be my best guess for this one Another option would be this 3.5* Downtown - Millennium Park hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) just over your budget at $112/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess here would be the Club Quarters Wacker At Michigan which although 3.5* rated by PRICELINE EXPRESS is 4* rated by HOTWIRE Do either of the above work for your needs and budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts and we'll go from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
morggie210 Posted July 12, 2016 Author Report Posted July 12, 2016 Hi There, I used bidding helper tool and yes i got the following amenities - FULL AMENITIES: Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. After seeing some picture of the cleanliness I think we will skip at the Warwick and due to the increase in price my husband would skip on the Club Quarters. Do you suggest we wait some time? Thanks for all your help!
AaronJB Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 The Fall is a busy time in Chicago so I'd look to try and lock something in if there's an appealing offer available. Additionally, there's the current coupon (at the top of the board and in my signature) that expires in a couple of days for $15 off $100 on HOTWIRE. I'm seeing a 4* in the Navy Pier-Millennium Park area for $117 w/Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. ===>> This is a possible match for the CQ Wacker at Michigan. $117 - 15 = 102. There is also a 4* in the Lincoln Park area for $114 w/Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Accessible for hearing impaired, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower ====>> Possible match for the Hotel Lincoln. This is a bit of a trek from the Mag Mile area, but Lincoln Park is quite a nice area if you want something different than staying directly downtown. However, the possible CQ Wacker at Michigan would be a far more central location in the city as a whole. I'm very familiar with Chicago, so do let me know if you have any city or hotel questions.
