Priceline Hotel: 4* Vancouver (Coquitlam - Burnaby) Delta Burnaby Hotel And Conference Centre

I was trying to get a 4* hotel (or greater) in downtown Vancouver, and when my bids weren't working out, I added Burnaby as an area thinking there wouldn't be any 4* hotels there, and ended up with Delta Burnaby Hotel.

 

It seems like a nice enough hotel, but I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't in the city.  I don't think it was a great deal, because it looks like it's listed at about $170 cdn in Express deals.

If you can add a star rating and zone, then there are hotels that can be potentially won at that star rating in that zone.

 

Still, not a bad deal for this property and glad the hotel will work out okay.

I was told I "had" to add a star rating, and the only way to go was down.  Unfortunately, I got a hotel in a different city than I expected.  Overall, it looks like a great place anyways so I am sure it will be great.

In the future i'd suggest stopping the bidding and come to the board and ask for help... or better yet stop by the board first and ask for a bidding strategy to follow.

 

Also, you should read up on Priceline Re-Bidding Explained as it will help you in the future know how to determine which star ratings are available in each zone (and which are 'safe' to add for re-bidding purposes)
