Hotwire Hotel: Hotels in Hotwire

Hi.  I'm trying to book a stay in NYC from June 23 - 25.  I am undecided between 3 offers.  I would like to know which hotels you might think these are to make the selection.  I am looking for a double queen bed room since I am traveling with my wife and two sons.  The options I am currently evaluating are the following:

 

1. 5 stars Hotel - Central Park South Area Boutique Hotel.  95% Recommended. I has 58% discount with a special price of US$292 per night.  The hotel amenities are as follow:  Boutique hotelBusiness centerFitness centerPet friendlyRestaurant(s)Smoke-free roomsSpa services.

 

2. 4 stars hotel - Midtown East New to Hotwire Hotel. 85% recommended.  I has 44% discount with a special price of US$258 per night.  The hotel amenities are as follow: Business centerFitness centerRestaurant(s)Spa servicesTennis nearby

 

3. 4 stars hotel - Union Square Flatiron Area Hotel. 90% recommended.  I has a 45% discount with a special price of US$201 per night.  The hotel amenities are as follow: Business centerFitness centerRestaurant(s)

 

I am more inclined to choose one of the las two options.  However, if you have any other deal you have heard for these dates please let me know as we are pretty flexible on our type of hotel.

First, ignore the percentage discount shown by HOTWIRE... Note that the crossed out rate is an average price of hotels of this star rating in the zone for your dates, NOT necessarily the rate of the hotel currently being offered.

 

Second, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to each of these listings, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above?

 

Also, are you searching for something other than the default 1room/2adults/0children?

I went in to the BiddingHelper.com tool and these are the amenities on the second option which is the one I am actually more inclined to use.

 

1. FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services

 

Also, I am including on the search options the 2 adults and 2 childrens.

I'm not seeing this property when searching for your dates and including 2adults/2children in the search... are you still seeing this on your own HOTWIRE search?

 

... but why this one?  For instance, i'm seeing a 4* hotel in this zone for $248/nite with a 100% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests, so why the one above which is more expensive and has a lower user review rating? (i haven't loked any any other aspects of this property)

I'm very familiar with NYC, what exactly is it that you need from a hotel for this trip and what is your maximum budget, we can try to help you find the best option that meets your needs.
