omax Posted June 11, 2016 Report Posted June 11, 2016 I generally bid on priceline when travelling with my sister. Follow up with hotel once accepted, asking for two beds in room. There will be three of us travelling on this trip so not sure if I will go Priceline route. Thought if I could at least determine what these express deals are I could check the size of hotel and what there room configurations are to see chances of being able to ask for two bed room. The following are showing as express deals. Any help in determine hotels are appreciated. I couldn't find on tripadvisor where it shows the rating by guests. 4 Star Hotel in South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront Area for C$161/night Rated 7.0 out of 10 (or higher) Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities 4 Star Hotel in South Beach - Central Area for C$102/night Rated 7.0 out of 10 (or higher) I did find a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on Hotwire I need to check out as well Miami Beach South area boutique hotel 80% recommended Free internet, Airport shuttleBoutique hotelFitness centerNear beachPool(s)Restaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms thanks. thereuare Posted June 11, 2016 Report Posted June 11, 2016 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please re-post in US Dollars as it makes it easier for us to locate the same hotels in order to research as well as keeps all prices on the board consistent and not subject to interpretation based upon future currency fluctuations. I'll add that the above is not necessarily the approach i would be taking as you may be able to exclude some properties from the running if they charge more for rooms with 2 beds vs. a room with 1 bed (at which point your 'upgrade' to a room with 2 beds would be slimmer)... but even if a hotel has a 'good' amount of rooms with two beds and they are considered 'standard' and the same price as a room with one bed, it still doesn't tell you anything about what you will actually get. Why not: 1) find PRICELINE EXPRESS hotels that show a Bed Choice option where one of the choices is a room that will accommodate your triple occupancy needs this trip 2) find a HOTWIRE hotel that shows a room choice that works for your needs 3) search HOTWIRE for 3adults Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. AaronJB Posted June 12, 2016 Report Posted June 12, 2016 For the HOTWIRE listings I think there may be more amenities than you have included above. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper tool and look in the EASY VIEW TAB, do you see additional amenities beyond those listed above? If so, please confirm the full amenity set and we would be happy to take a look. Are the HOTWIRE listings all 4.5*? Do they show bed option as a choice? Can you also list the room rate per nite of each (as it will make it easier for us to locate the same hotel among the offers when we repeat your search) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
thereuare Posted June 12, 2016 Report Posted June 12, 2016 Can you also please confirm your dates of travel as i think the dates may have been removed from the topic title. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

omax Posted June 15, 2016 Author Report Posted June 15, 2016 I had previously posted under Priceline enquiring about possible 4 star hotels in south beach. Thinking of changing tactic and found this on hotwire and can't work out which hotel it could be Miami Downtown-Port of Miami 3 people Nov 16 3 1/2 star - $101 70% recommended 3.5 out of 5.0 | 14 reviews Free Internet, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower I've tried cross-referencing but can't find any 3 1/2 stars that's 70% recommended.
thereuare Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. The 70% recommendation is an internal number used by HOTWIRE and is not shown on any other website (nor on their 'retail' side) so you won't be using an accurate datapoint if you're comparing this to anything that appears on any other website (or a different section of the HOTWIRE website) The best way to try to research hotels is to use our Hotwire Hotel List where you can see that the Holiday Inn Port of Miami has previously been seen with this amenity set, and would therefore be our best guess for this one. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
