Please start by following-up your previous Hotwire Chicago hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip, then reply here and we will have a look at your post above.

Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans.

Are your plans for Vegas firm and are you ready to commit to a purchase at this point in time?

What is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) at this point in time?

Do you have a few hotels in mind that you consider to have an 'amazing pool'?  Is a casino on-site mandatory?

Hi There

Some hotels I've been looking at are the:

Venetian or Palazzo

Caesars

Wynn

Bellagio

But if other options open up that are mid strip I'd consider them for sure.

a casino on site is not mandatory

my max would be the $120 mark since all hotels in LV will be tacking on another $35 per night.

Confirm your dates on the landing page (i think this link should work) click THIS LINK and there should be a 5* hotel in the Strip North zone for $137/nite with:

Business Center

Restaurant

Indoor or Outdoor Pool

Casino

Fitness Center

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

==> best guess for this one would be The Venetian

Does this work for your needs and budget?

Best guess for this 4.5* Strip North hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) with the amenity set above would be The Mirage.

When I search for 4 adults on HOTWIRE, I'm seeing a 5* in the North Strip for  $155 (you may see a slightly different price) w/Resort, Casino, Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower.

-- This would be a possible match for the Venetian.

You can either take the 4.5* Priceline Express option and ensure 2 beds OR take a little risk (afterall, you are in Vegas ) and call the hotel before your arrival (or ask at check-in) if you can be assigned a room with 2 beds.  The hotel may or may not be willing/able to honor your request, but if they can, it may be done for free charge OR it may come with an additional charge (i think it's usually $25/day) which is the price difference between their rooms with 1 bed vs. their rooms with 2 beds.  If you're not able, or not willing to pay for the upgrade, the Venetian rooms have a good pullout sofabed that can serve as your second bed.

I don't know the actual make-up of your group (2adults don't want to share a bed, 2adults/2children, or 4adults)... but if you're able to book for 2adults/2children i see what looks to be the Venetian with a 2 Queen bed choice option offered for $176/nite... a little over your target budget but it will give you what you're looking for.

Thanks

Its 4 adults and we are there 6 nights so I'd rather not sleep on a sofa bed for that long for that price....I am on holidays after all:tongue:

Not convinced we want the mirage either...since its 4 adults we want a roomier place, that's why the Venetian is nice but we are also paying in CDN so when we go over budget a bit then add on the $40 per night resort fee...it's too much.

So it comes down to what you want is over your budget (even at PRICELINE / HOTWIRE prices... 'regular' hotel rates even more so)... so what is your option, to increase your budget or compromise on the star rating/room size you're willing to accept for this trip.
