Hotwire Hotel: 5* Santa Monica 4.5 star

I saw on HOTWIRE the hot rate hotel for July, 2 - July, 6 for Los Angeles (Santa Monica-Silicon Beach) in the 4.5 star rating (last person got Huntley) for 291$/night in two queen bedroom with description of: 

Amenities: Business centerFitness centerInternet accessNear beachRestaurant(s)

Accessibility: Accessible for visually impairedAccessible for hearing impairedAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibility

 

It doesn't say pool. Does it mean that it is a 4.5 star hotel without a pool or could it be the the pool is just not shown. (As the pool is the most important thing for me, I am wondering if a 4.5 star rated hotel without a pool might even exist in that region?)

This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. A guess would be that the Huntley has been upgraded to 4.5* since it was last reported.

 

If you need a pool, I'd look for listings with a pool icon to guarantee  that amenity.

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates:

Near Beach, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower

==> if this is what you're seeing, The Huntley would indeed be my best guess for this one (which i believe does not have a pool).  Often when hotels are so close to the beach they may not want to put the money into, or have the space, for a pool.

 

If you are interested in The Huntley i think it can be booked a bit cheaper at $230/nite if that would make it worth your while.

 

If a pool is a must have i'm seeing this 4* Venice - Santa Monica hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $355/nite with:

Restaurant

Free Internet

Indoor or Outdoor Pool

Fitness Center

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

==> best guess here would be the Hotel Shangri-La, should this work better for your needs
