Do you have any other suggestions for around $150/night, 4* or higher for 7/1-7/4? Wouldn't mind being close to Central Park either for morning runs. It seems like you guys know your stuff on suggestions in NYC, so I thought I would ask just in case.

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool.

Also, your current request (staying Downtown) is very different from your most recent request (staying near Central Park)... what criteria is most important to you for this stay?  Also, why the 4* hotel above when there is a 4.5* hotel offered in the same zone (also with a 4.5/5.0 TA rating) for less?

The price went down from when I originally looked. 

 

4.5 star hotel, $138, Rockefeller Center, and here are the amenities according to the Hotwire easy view tab:

FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom

 

We decided instead of Downtown/Wall Street, we wanted to be up closer to the amenities we would be doing more, such as Central Park, the theater, etc, and then would just subway it to downtown to see the World Trade Center. We wanted to be in more of walking distance to the above. Thank you again.

You're also not far from my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.
