Priceline Hotel: Need HELP on 5* Venetian on PL

Hello, my wife and I are headed to YET ANOTHER Vegas wedding June 16th-18th (yes, Father's Day weekend). Today BOTH Priceline and Hotwire do not show 5* hotels on either websites. Do these high-end hotels only appear on certain days?

The entire wedding party is staying at the Mirage ($210/night). However, we are considering Paris ($190/night), which we feel is a nicer hotel for the $.

Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations on finding a 'steal' on a nice hotel in Vegas?

How much would you pay for the Venetian?

You could book the Mirage for $199, less than the rate you quote above. Personally, i'm a fan of the Mirage and their pool area. It was also the first Vegas hotel i stayed in, so perhaps that is why i often favor it.

Treasure Island can also be had for $155/nite which keeps you closer to the rest of the group, and may be a better value than the other two properties, but i'm not so sure that cost is your primary objective for this stay.

Let us know your thoughts regarding the above and just how much you would be willing to pay to stay at the V.

I've tried for two days to win a 5* (Venetian) on PL. I started at $99 and have raised my bid four times up to $125. The final try on PL website stated that I cannot bid due to 'Repeat Bids'. Yet, I don't want to change my * rating, nor change my area.

Any suggestions?

Also, I've considered the Paris Hotel "Rate Plus Gaurantee". I've found a website cheaper by using TravelAxe (a great download key) and I am debating on continuing to try PL or simply gamble on the Rate Plus Gaurantee and getting 25% off my other websites deal.

Again, any suggestions would be appreciated!
