tborr123
Priceline Express is showing a 5* in CPS for 7/6 to 7/11 for $243 a night and wondering which hotel that is likely to be? I want to be near the park and away from Times Square. Any other tips for 4.5 or 5 star hotels these dates? Thanks in advance. Link to comment

tborr123
Got the Viceroy for $205 for 7/6-11 plus $288 fees and taxes. Took a gamble since Hotwire indicated it was a $690 room and nothing on Viceroy's site suggested it would be that high so I expected another hotel. Could have gotten this for $192 and lower fees on Tripadvisor. On well, I own it. Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry you didn't receive the hotel you were hoping for and are disappointed in the outcome... in the future feel free to ask the board for help before your purchase and we will try to assist in obtaining a more satisfactory outcome. Note that the crossed out rate is an average price of hotels of this star rating in the zone for your dates, NOT necessarily the rate of the hotel currently being offered. Can you please add a reply to this thread with the amenities HOTWIRE shows for this property, including any 'accessible' amenities, when viewing this purchase using the MY ACCOUNT >> MY TRIPS link on the top right of their home page. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. tborr123
The amenities shown are restaurant(s), fitness center, business center, and wireless internet. That is interesting information about pricing, although not sure then why during the course of the previous day it ranged from the upper $200 to the $900 for 5* hotels all in Central Park South. After I booked I checked again and the price showed $645, not $690. Link to comment
thereuare
You should just ignore the crossed out rate... and feel free to ask for help before your next 'opaque' purchase. Let me know if you have any NYC questions that i can help with to get the most from your trip.
