kehow01 Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Hello, I have 4 questions regarding booking a Vegas (South strip) hotel for May 5-8, 2016. I'm very familiar with NYOP and have used it for years but I've never tried Express Deal. 1). My flight lands at 11pm Thurs, May 5. By the time we disembark the plane, pick up our bags, catch a cab & arrive at a hotel, I expect it will be midnight or after. My question is, should I book the room for just May 6-8 & hope the hotel that I book will offer some type of discount for the exceptionally early May 6 check-in? Or is that a bit far fetched? 2). My preference is to stay at The Cosmopolitan (Bellagio as 2nd choice) but any 5*. Is there any sure way to land The Cosmo besides booking directly? I assume no but it's worth asking. 3). I've looked at Express Deals and the south strip 5* with a casino says $172/nt & that it was going for $210/nt. Is Aria the probable hotel? 4). Since $172 is the Express Deal amount, should I try NYOP for around $100 or so? My fear with that is that I end up in a hotel without a casino. Thanks for any tips and suggestions!
AaronJB Posted May 5, 2016 Report Posted May 5, 2016 Welcome to Betterbidding If you book for the 6th, I wouldn't expect to be able to check in until check-in time. " My preference is to stay at The Cosmopolitan (Bellagio as 2nd choice) but any 5*. Is there any sure way to land The Cosmo besides booking directly? I assume no but it's worth asking." There is no way to guarantee a particular property via PRICELINE EXPRESS, NYOP or HOTWIRE. A listing may show with the same amenities as the Cosmo has been previously reported to the board with, but changes can happen at any time and there's always the possibility it can be something else. "I've looked at Express Deals and the south strip 5* with a casino says $172/nt & that it was going for $210/nt. Is Aria the probable hotel?" Please confirm the amenities showing with the listing and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID the listing. "Since $172 is the Express Deal amount, should I try NYOP for around $100 or so? My fear with that is that I end up in a hotel without a casino." If you are seeing a 5* for around that price on the Express Deals side, $100 is not going to be realistic. NYOP is slightly-to-moderately cheaper than PRICELINE EXPRESS. kehow01 Posted May 5, 2016 Author Report Posted May 5, 2016 Thank you for the quick response. The amenities listed on the $172 PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal are Business Center, Restaurant, indoor or outdoor pool, casino, fitness center, no smoking rooms/facilities. I had seen others mention in their posts terrace rooms, fountain views and such. I don't see any of those so my guess is it's Aria. Do you agree? Thanks!
thereuare Posted May 5, 2016 Report Posted May 5, 2016 Please clarify if you're seeing the $172/nite price when searching for 5/5-5/8 or 5/6-5/8... we'll then have a look at the offer and amenity set for the property above. I am seeing what looks like the Bellagio or the Aria for $165/nite should this be of any interest (i'm not certain which of the two it is, but i'd slightly lean towards it being the Bellagio more so than the Aria, but you should be prepared for either) What is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) for this trip? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
