Hotwire Hotel: Assistance for Chicago stay

Need some help for a 2 night stay for our anniversary.  Prices seem much higher than our other trips.  We generally do 4* or higher and 90% and up satisfaction.  Can you help with the below choices?  Any other ideas?  Thank you!

Thanks so much Aaron - would you recommend any of the above choices?  Trying to decide whether to wait a bit to see if prices fall or just bite the bullet.  There must be something that weekend - we have gone in summer and not paid these prices!

I'm seeing a 4.5* on HOTWIRE for $162 in the Downtown-River North area w/Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower.

 

You may see a slightly different price than I do +/- a few bucks.

 

If you are driving, I'll also note that Lake Geneva (about 90 minutes from Chicago, http://www.visitlakegeneva.com/) is a very pretty day trip, and there are a number of other sights within a decent drive, including orchards/wineries (http://www.brightonwoodsorchard.com/), Elegant Farmer (http://www.elegantfarmer.com/), Brat Stop (https://www.bratstop.com/) and a couple of great high-end outlet malls. About 3.5 hours from Chicago is Door County (http://www.doorcounty.com/), which is like Maine in the Midwest - just a gorgeous area.

 

Not sure what's going on on these dates - perhaps a graduation or two. One of the worst conventions of the year is the weekend after. There is a convention, but it ends on the 13th.

I'm seeing the match for the James at $196.00  That's getting pretty high for hotwire...  May 13-15, is that what you were checking?  I went through the HOTWIRE link from betterbidding.
