never bid for anything before, traveling alone, can i get my money back if they dont find my price?

An 'opaque' purchase is when you are buying (or bidding) for a product without yet knowing the full details.  So for:
Airlines - you don't learn the name of the airline, flight times, layover cities, length of layover, etc. until after your bid is accepted

Hotels - you don't learn the name of the hotel until after your bid is accepted

Car Rentals - you don't learn the name of the car rental company until after your bid is accepted

 

With all of PRICELINE's 'bidding' products (airfare, hotel, car rental) if your bid is not accepted then nothing is charged to your credit card.  However, if your bid price is accepted your credit card is charged and you're then told the details of your itinerary (flights, airline, hotel name, car rental company, etc)

 

There is no minimum bid that you can make, but it should to be realistic... a $200 bid has a very, very, very low chance of being accepted for a $2000 ticket.

 

What are the dates of your trip?  What cities/airports are you willing to depart from?  What would be the most you're willing to pay for a ticket for this route?
