jdangamm Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Hey, as the title says, I need some help getting a good price on one room hotel, 4* or 5* on the strip. Will be arriving March 24 and leaving March 26 (Friday to Sunday). Two nights. I can normally get Caesars Palace for $80/night anytime, but unfortunately that weekend my roommate is going up there that exact weekend for a bachelorette party, and took both rooms. She has 12 girls, so I decided to let her have it and just get my own room.So are there any tips? My range is like $150 (is that too low?) for the 4* and about $200 for the 5*. Anything less is excellent. When I say 4* am I right in thinking like aladdin, paris, caesars, etc? And 5* I specifically mean Venetian, that place is awesome, all rooms are nice! Thanks for any help, it is appreciated. And this site is awesome, man if this works I'm going to be so excited. Thanks!
thereuare Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I don't think you have much of a chance for the 5*.You can see our PRICELINE HOTEL LIST to get an idea of what Priceline considers to be 4* hotels. If you want to try bidding, you have two bids avaiable at the 4* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4*...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $125, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Selelct 4* and re-bid zone2...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $135.If the above is rejected wait 72 hours and try again, increasing each bid by $10.In the meantime, you may want to book a back-up, if you haven't done so already. You can book the Luxor for $165/nite and it is cancellable up until 3 days before your check-in date.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
deeznuts Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Well, I tried it at $135 and nothing went through. Will read up over at hotwire forums and try there, and then come back here! Thanks though, this forum is awesome.
