Hotwire Hotel: Helping Identify Venice Hot Rate Hotel

Hello,

 

I am planning an upcoming trip and wanted to see if someone might be willing to help me identify some of the current Hotwire Hot Rate hotels for Venice. Unfortunately, the hotel list for Venice is rather sparse and was not of much help. Any advice on other methods/tools I might be able to use in the future would be much appreciated. Here are the four hotels I am trying to identify:

 

Star Rating: 4

City and Zone: Venice; San Marco - Dorsoduro

Travel Dates: 08/14/16 to 08/16/16

Room Rate: $115 per night 

Amenities: Free Internet, Restaurant(s), Internet Access

City and Zone: Venice; Cannaregio

Travel Dates: 08/14/16 to 08/16/16

Room Rate: $107 per night

Amenities: Business Center

City and Zone: Venice; Castello - Sant'Elena

Travel Dates: 08/14/16 to 08/16/16

Room Rate: $126 per night

Amenities: Free Internet, Restaurant(s), Internet Access

Unfortunately with so many hotels in these small geographic areas i don't have any insight into any of the above.

My maximum budget is $150 per nite and I am interested in four zones: (1) San Polo - Santa Croce; (2) Sana Marco - Dorsoduro; (3) Cannaregio; and (4) Castello - Sant'Elena.

 

Also, do you generally recommend a particular service or method for finding a good deal in Venice (Hotwire Hot Rate; Priceline Express Deals, or Priceline NYOP)? I know mystery hotels and blind bidding come with different risks and rewards, but though certain cities may lend themselves to a particular platform/method.

There is no one service that is best in every scenario and/or for every region.  PRICELINE and HOTWIRE are usually fairly competitive with each other, so it comes down to which offers the best deal on a property that you would be interested in.

 

I do see this 4* Venice Train Station - Santa Croce hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $83/nite with:

Pets Allowed

Business Center

Free Internet

Casino

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

... my guess for this one would be the Hotel Amadeus

 

and this 4* Saitn Mark Square - Grand Canal for $109/nite with:

Pets Allowed

Free Internet

No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

==> best guess here would be the Hotel Al Ponte Dei Sospiri

 

Do either of these work for your needs? (i tried to find similar star rating and pricing within your desired zones, and those that showed positive reviews)
