dzj Posted April 25, 2016 Report Posted April 25, 2016 Hello all, I just booked a holiday where I am traveling through Sydney, Australia twice in June/July, I'm going to discuss both of them eventually, but I am quite interested in a place I saw doing a initial search this morning. I am looking to book a place for July 2nd through 5th. Just started looking, hoping to find something reasonably priced and within a reasonable travel area in town. I'll be adding to this list as I investigate, but I noticed a unique amentitiy for this one. Airport shuttle is what has me jumping back to this one. City: Sydney, Australia Check in: 07/02/2016 Check Out: 07/05/2016 1-Room / 2-Adults $74 "Choice 3.5-star hotel in Sydney Central" Sydney Central 70% recommended FULL AMENITIES: Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s)
thereuare Posted April 25, 2016 Report Posted April 25, 2016 I don't have a guess for this property but i would resist the temptation to be lured by the Shuttle amenity listed... The Airport Shuttle amenity only means that a shuttle is available, and given this location, i would assume that it comes at an additional fee (it may even be a private company that runs a shared shuttle service which theoretically would make all hotels in the area able to list an "Airport Shuttle" as an amenity) As well, even if this was a free amenity, the hotel overall gets poor reviews: Overall satisfaction 2.5 Condition of hotel 2.7 Quality of service 3.2 Room comfort 2.9 Room cleanliness 3 Location of hotel -0.2 (i assume this on is a mistake) I don't know the cost of a taxi (or shuttle, train, or public bus) from the airport to this area... but would saving this amount be worth staying at a hotel for 3 nites with such sub-par feedback such as the ratings above? What is your budget (per nite before taxes/fees) for this leg of your trip?
