DirtyPig56
I am surprising my wife with a trip to Vegas for our 7th anniversary. This will also be my first trip to Vegas so I'm hoping to get that classic Strip experience. I'm wanting to use the express deal, or name your own price tool to save money if possible. Im looking to avoid a resort without a Casino(Trump,Vdara), and the Tropicana(just doesn't look very nice to me..I could be wrong). Can anyone give me a strategy or advice on how to proceed? I am looking at 4* or nicer. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! How much you're willing to pay will be the primary factor in what is possible for this trip... what is your maximum budget (per nite before taxes/fees)? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. DirtyPig56
Id like to stay around $150 or less per night before taxes and fees. I will absolutely use this links provided on this site. Link to comment
thereuare
How about: Tresuare Island for $112/nite The Mirage for $144/nite Either of the above of interest? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know your thoughts and we'll take it from there. DirtyPig56
They both seem nice. For 3 nights would you say The Mirage is worth the extra $96 bucks? The Mirage does look nicer to me by viewing sites. I'm looking to get most bang for my buck while getting a great place to say with Casino on property. Link to comment
thereuare
I wouldn't have an issue staying at either property, but The Mirage is a bit nice than Treasure Island (the Mirage is also a bit brighter and more open... whereas Treasure Island is a bit darker). The Mirage also has an excellent pool area as well, if that is important to you at all for this trip. ... but ultimately it comes down to price, and $30 is about the 'right' price for the upgrade, imo, which makes it a tough decision (ie- if it was $10 it would be an easy decision... just as if it was $50 it would be an easy decision as well (but in the other direction)... so at $30 it comes down to personal preference, how much you think you will like one property vs. the other, what type of experience you want from the trip, etc, etc) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare
Click this link for this 4.5* Strip North hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) which should appear for $144/nite with the following amenities: Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ... if this is what you're seeing, best guess here would be The Mirage.
