Also, do you have reason to stay in Brooklyn (are any/all of your planned activities for the week located there) or are you looking at this area based upon price?  If the latter, is your budget flexible at all, and if so, what is your maximum budget, as i think you can likely get something in Manhattan for not much more money (~$20/nite) which would be worth it to staying in Manhattan and being more centrallly located, imo.
