xgxfx Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 I'm trying to book a hotel for April 8-10 and found a 3.5* hotel for $96/night with the following amenities: Business Center Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Non Smoking It doesn't list a restaurant or casino at all. I was originally thinking it might be Harrah's, but the resort fee is listed as $50/total (so $25 per day) even, which is really throwing me off. Any ideas? I'm ideally trying to find something close-ish in proximity to the MGM that is still affordable... Thank you in advance!
thereuare Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 Welcome to BetterBidding! The resort fees are not always exact... sometimes they are rounded, sometimes they include, tax, sometimes they exclude tax, so not a reliable indicator to use in trying to guess a hotel. Can i ask why you want to stay near MGM Grand, and if this is where you need to be, why are you looking at the Strip North zone (when MGM Grand is in the southern part of the Strip South zone)? Would you have an interest in the Excalibur at $112/nite? (easy walk to MGM) If not the Excalibur, what is your maximum budget for this stay? (per nite before fees/taxes) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. xgxfx Posted March 26, 2016 Author Report Posted March 26, 2016 Thanks so much for the help! I'm trying to stay around $100/night to keep my total including fees/taxes to under $300. I'd be totally fine with Excalibur, but it's a bit more than I was ideally hoping to spend. I might have to revisit that plan though...? I had thought this $96/night option, even though listed as North, was at Harrah's, which didn't seem like TOO bad a walk. But then I got thrown off by the lack of casino/restaurant in the amenities, let alone the resort fee. I'm trying to be close to MGM, because I'm in town for a concert at the new T-mobile Arena (which is basically right next to MGM). Thanks again!
thereuare Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 With the limited information shown by PRICELINE EXPRESS I can't rule out Harraha's, but my guess for the 3.5* North Strip would be The Linq... but I'm not certain, Confirm all dates on each of the landing pages, but this is my guess for the following Strip South hotels: 3* Strip South for $112/nite Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Free Internet, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center --> Excalibur 4* Strip South for $117/nite Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Free Parking, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center --> Tropicana Las Vegas Both of the above would work out very convenient for your plans, but are slightly over your current budget on an all-in basis.
