I started with the betterbidding.com link to PRICELINE, of course.

 

First bid, 4.5*, Chicago Loop Millennium Park only, $109.... rejected

But it came back with a "raise your price to $170 and it'll be accepted" message, which I did, and it was, for exactly the hotel that I thought it would be: the Hyatt Centric.  Not the best deal I've ever got, but an easy one!

Great win for this property - which is quite new - and glad you are pleased with the deal. For future bids, if you do encounter the "counter offer", you can try between your last failed bid and the counter to see if a price in-between will be accepted.
