adiielena
can you bid on suites? or do you always get a standard single bed room? Link to comment
adiielena
i am new to betterbidding and i am confused when looking at the amenities list in the hotel lists, does the order in which the amenities are listed (here on betterbidding) have to match exactly to how the order that is on hotwire? is that how you can identify a hotel? Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :) You can not bid on suites. The option with that would be to either look at PRICELINE EXPRESS for a listing with "bed option" (and then on the next page you'll see what options there are; *occasionally* you'll find one with suite.) or HOTWIRE to look for a hotel with a suite amenity. The amenities do not need to be in the same order, they just need to match. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if we can be of further assistance. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Link to comment
thereuare
Where is it that you're looking to travel and what are your needs for this trip... do you need a suite? a room with more than one bed? a room for more than double occupancy? What is your desired star rating and budget? (per nite before fees/taxes) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
adiielena
does it have to match exactly? if there is something missing on either does that mean it is not a match? I always access HOTWIRE / PRICELINE through your links :) Link to comment
AaronJB
If it is not an exact match to the list, then it may be something not yet reported to the board (new hotel, hotel previously reported that has now changed the way it shows on the service, etc.) Please confirm the details of the listing you are seeing (amenities, star rating, zone, price, dates) You can use our BiddingHelper.com service to get the full list of HOTWIRE amenities (click "Hotwire Easy View", then "Full Amenities") and then cut/paste them here. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. If possible I would like an explanation of how to ID hotels by myself. Once I look at the full amenities list I am confused on how to compare it to the hotwire hotel lists. When i try to find a matching list there is always things out of order or things on one list that aren't on the other and it is so frustrating! Could you please explain in a step by step manner how to properly ID? Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. $118 ==> Trump $179 ==> Wynn $212 ==> Palazzo $212 ==> Venetian On 3/17/2016 at 9:18 AM, adiielena said: If possible I would like an explanation of how to ID hotels by myself Use the HOTEL LISTS On 1/12/2016 at 1:37 PM, AaronJB said: The amenities do not need to be in the same order, they just need to match. 2x Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. adiielena
thank you for your replies! unfortuently i did not get notified of your replies and didn't find them until now. I dont think hotwire has the same hot rate deals but I will try again. I know I have asked multiple times about the lists, but do you have any tips for when you are comparing lists? (when you are looking back and forth at the lists trying to find a match.) I find that very difficult and get very discouraged. I feel like I am doing it wrong/messing it up. Thank You ! AaronJB
With the lists, those show what has been reported to the board and sometimes a hotel has been seen with multiple variations. You can use those lists can go back and forth to see if the listing details showing on BiddingHelper.com (when you look under "Hotwire Easy View", then full amenities) are a match. They do not have to be in the same order.
