oneworldsapphire Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 Hi there, New to the forum! I've used the Hotwire search link above to search 'London', 2 adults, May 31-June 1, 2016. Hope I did all that correctly. There is a hotel of interest, particularly because of the 5/5 TripAdvisor rating. The area is Westminster, Victoria, Big Ben. 5*, $336 per night. Amenities are: Airport shuttle Business Center Fitness Center Internet Access Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Trip advisor rating: 5/5, 501-1000 reviews Hotwire approval rating: 95% recommended, based on 5 reviews From what I can tell, the only 5/5 Trip Advisor hotels in the area are: The Goring, Taj Buckingham Gate Suites/Residences, and Hotel 41. How accurate is the number of TA reviews provided by Hotwire? Hotel 41 has over 2,000 reviews; Taj Buckingham Gate has 1,089 reviews; The Goring has 905 reviews. If this information is always entirely accurate, it would seem it could not be Hotel41 or Taj Buckingham Gate. Appreciate your expert opinion about this one.
thereuare Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 Welcome to BetterBidding! The TA information shown by HOTWIRE is not updated in realtime (not sure how frequently but it's less than daily) so it's always possible that the current TA rating has changed since HOTWIRE's last update. So you can't necessarily exclude a hotel that show slightly more reviews than indicated by HOTWIRE, or it's also possible that you're not looking at the complete possibilities of hotels since the overall TA rating being shown may not be 100% accurate (if it has changed since the last update) With the above noted, The Goring would be my best guess for this one. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
