nphan Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 Not sure if I can put two, but i'll try. Looking for 2 guests, 1 room. New York Empire State building hotel Listed as 4*. Travel 3/12 - 3/14 Room rate is $109 excluding 15$ discount, 90% hotwire rating, 4/5 tripadvisor Amenities include: Free internet, business center, fitness center, pet friendly, restaurants. New York Madison Square Garden hotel Listed as 2.5* Travel 3/12-3/14 Room rate is $51, 20% hotwire rating, Amenities include: Business center, fitness center, internet access, pet friendly, restaurants, self-service laundry I apologize if this is the wrong format. I'm wondering what the possibilities are for both areas. Thank you!
AaronJB Posted March 4, 2016 Report Posted March 4, 2016 Welcome to Betterbidding. I think there may be more amenities than you have included above. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper tool and look in the EASY VIEW TAB, do you see additional amenities beyond those listed above? If so, please confirm the full amenity set and we would be happy to take a look. If you see: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access -- I'd guess the St Giles the Court. I'm not sure what the 2.5* MSG is; a listing with those amenities has not yet been ID'd/reported. $47 is quite reasonable, but with a 20% approval rating, I'm really thinking that this is an instance of "cheap for a reason." Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
nphan Posted March 4, 2016 Author Report Posted March 4, 2016 Thank you for your reply. I did a repeat search on the empire state building and those are all the amenities listed, so if your guess is the St Giles the Court, then it probably is. Thanks! And i'm also looking at another one, if you don't mind looking it up. New York Madison Square Garden hotel Listed as 4* Travel 3/12-3/14 Room rate is $111 excluding discount, 65% hotwire rating, 4/5 tripadvisor Full amenities: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower Thank you in advance!
AaronJB Posted March 4, 2016 Report Posted March 4, 2016 Would likely be the Wyndham New Yorker. There is a resort fee of around $28 per night at this property (you can see if there's a resort fee at the bottom of the detail page on the HOTWIRE listing.) Are you looking for something in particular/did you have a max budget in mind? Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
nphan Posted March 4, 2016 Author Report Posted March 4, 2016 Oh alright. I'm trying to keep the budget under $300 for 2 nights and for the location, It needs to be close enough to a subway station, preferably somewhere near times square, or in the Manhattan area. It doesn't need to be too fancy or have much perks but something with comfortability (if that's a word).
nphan Posted March 4, 2016 Author Report Posted March 4, 2016 I went ahead and bought the empire state building and got The Gregory Hotel!
thereuare Posted March 4, 2016 Report Posted March 4, 2016 Congratulations on your success! While not the hotel guessed, this looks to be a great deal for a 4* property in NYC... hope you're happy with the results and this well located property will work well for your plans. A short walk from this hotel i recommend this place for a quick 'to go' breakfast: Best Bagel and Cofee 225 W 35th St (between Seventh and Eigth Avenues) ... one of the best bagels in the city and if you can't grab a seat at one of the few tables they have or at the counter space by the window, if the weather is nice (it's supposed to be next weekend) you can take your breakfast to the Times Square and eat on the bleachers behind the TKTS booth while you watch the world go by. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us add this hotel to the Hotwire Hotel List. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
