denovo
Whoops - I was planning for 2/10-2/14. However, I bid on Priceline and received the 3 star rated Marriott at the Capitol for $80/day.Still I think the information might be valuable to someone else.Charles Link to comment

denovo
Sorry for the haphazardness of my posts...perhaps I need to clarify. With the help of the "other" bidding forum :) I've been primarily trying to get a hotel in Downtown Austin via Priceline. So, for (hopefully) completeness, let me describe how I attained my winning bid.I first bid at the 4 star level on Priceline for the dates of stay of 2/10-2/14. I started my bid at $70, added free rebid zones until $95. All were rejected.I then examined Hotwire and saw that there was a 3* at $61 and a 2.5* at $76 for my dates of stay. That's when I posted my (incomplete) original post here.I then decided to bid for a 3* in Austin for the dates of stay. I started my bid at $70 and was rejected. I then added my free rebid zone and bid at $80. That bid was accepted for accommodations at the Marriott at The Capitol.Again, sorry if I my previous posts/requests were incomplete.Best regards,Charles Link to comment
