sabrinalane03 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 What type of a hotel do people think that I would get if I bid 50 for downtown vancouver? Would a 4* be about of my reach at this price? Is it too much for a 3 *?

sabrinalane03 Posted January 29, 2006 Author Report Posted January 29, 2006 I started out bidding 50 for a 4 star. Then I added delta and changed the price to 51. Finally, I added another dollars and added the 3* box. 52 was accepted for the holiday inn on howe. I am staying 3/26-3/27. It isn't what I was hoping for and doesn't seem like that much of a bargain considering the hotel is currently charging 82 U.S. for that same date and when the taxes and fees are added, my total price is 69. I guess I can tell myself that I at least save 13 dollars but for future bids, is there something that I could have or should have done to get a better deal? Should I have dropped the price to 45ish since I added the 3* box? I guess I was just lucky last year when I bid 55 and got the rennissance marriot that was on the water and had an amazing view of the north shore and the park.
