jdh62
Going to NYC March 18th-20th w/wife and teenage daughter. Looking to stay in Times Square or immediate surroundings. Wanted to use Hotwire or Priceline but was wondering on how to book a room w/2 double beds or at least a king. Appreciate any help. Link to comment
thereuare
PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy although you may find some PRICELINE EXPRESS properties that offer a 'bed choice' and you can see if any offer a room configuration that will work for your family's needs (your room is still only booked for double occupancy, but the chances of having an issue is much less if you book a room that has two beds in it) Alternately you can use HOTWIRE and search for 2adults/1child, which will ensure occupancy for everyone you include in your search, although the second 'bed' in the room could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc. As well, similar to PRICELINE EXPRESS, some HOTWIRE offers now offer a bed choice if you click thru to the second page of the offer, where you can see if there is a room configuration that meets your needs. What is your desired star rating and expected budget (per nite before3 taxes/fees) for this trip? Do you see any offers thru PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE that offer this bed choice option that meet your needs for this trip? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. jdh62
Thank you for the tip on HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS! Would like at least book a 4 star and was thinking budget of $250 or lower/nite. Thanks again! Link to comment
thereuare
Is your daughter under 18 years old? (or willing to state that she is?) Is the possible outcome of a pullout sofabed/rollaway acceptable? Are you willing to pay near the top end of your budget for something nicer OR is the goal the least expensive 4* or better for this trip? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. jdh62
My daughter is under 18 and guess I can sleep on sofabed/rollaway. I did what you suggested using HOTWIRE specifying 2 adults and 1 child (using HOTWIRE link here) and ended up getting the Hyatt Times Square (rated 41/2 star) for $250/night + taxes. Thanks again for your help! Link to comment
