thereuare Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Please include the room rate per nite in your posts as it makes it easier for us to find the same hotel among the offers when we replicate your search. As per the Hotwire Hotel List you will see that the amenities above are matches for each of the following: First option: 5 star in Boston Common/theatre district... --> Taj Boston Option 2: 5 star hotel in Downtown Boston. --> The Langham Boston ... so these would be our best guess for each. Pdogg7299 Posted February 11, 2016 Author Report Posted February 11, 2016 I don't mean to sound rude but neither of those hotels are listed on the AAA 5 diamond listings for hotels. Hotels..com and others have them as 4 stars. Any other guesses?
thereuare Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 1 hour ago, thereuare said: As per the Hotwire Hotel List 2x Have you looked at the hotel list as indicated above? If you did, you would see that each of these hotels have been reported to the board at the 5* rating and with the amenity sets you listed above. Star ratings are subjective and every company uses their own system to assign star ratings to hotels, and according to HOTWIRE (at least of the last reported win for each of these properties) their criteria rates these as 5 stars. While HOTWIRE is sometimes accused of 'star rating creep', they don't seem to be too far off the mark on these, as you can see with the following links that PRICELINE rates both the Taj Boston and the Langham Boston at 4.5 stars. Since ratings are subjective, It's difficult to argue over a half a star rating (or at times even a full star rating), so i would focus more on the fact that both of these properties get good reviews and whether you think either of these are a good deal at the prices offered.
