Jeff8
I am looking for a 3* hotel but some of the hotels listed for 3* look like 2*. Willing to pay $125 but there is one of the 3* who's list price is $125. How do I avoid the one hotel that is 3* that is no good? if I jump to 3* plus, they price range jumps up, do you think I have a shot at 3* plus? - 3* -Sunnyvale, San Jose area - 3/16 - 3/17 - $125 - Flat screen TV Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :) There is no way to avoid a particular property when bidding. You have to be willing to stay at any of the potential hotels at that star rating in that zone. You may get upgraded to the next star rating, although this is not seen terribly often. HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS - which are generally slightly/moderately more expensive but offer information that can be used to make an educated guess as to which hotels may be showing - may be a better choice in this case. When searching on either service, do you see a particular listing of interest that would fit your budget/needs? If so, please provide the full set of listings, star rating, zone and price before taxes/fees. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare
Specifically what hotel is it that you're hoping to avoid? If unsuccessful for a 3.5* hotel at $125/nite (which my initial look at rates for these dates seems to be a stretch)... what would be your next gameplan? I know it's lower star rating, but at $75/nit would you have any interest in the Extended Stay America San Jose-Sunnyvale?
