Vegasbaby16 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 hello - I'm a longtime lurker who always clicks the link before I bid! i am looking for a 4 star hotel on the south Vegas strip. April 15 - 18th. I am open to north strip but afraid to get SLS Express deal on south strip says $115 per night with a "Mandatory fee" of $28 per night - Free parking business center And casino. what hotel might that be? i think I may be better off bidding $90 in that zone- it's showing me a hotel With a $29.50 mandatory fee. What do you think? if I bid I will make sure and report my winning bid! Thanks for this site!
thereuare Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Welcome (officially) to BetterBidding! We're glad to hear you've found the board useful over the years, but we hope that going forward you'll also begin to share your wins, so that others can benefit from the information, just as you are hoping to benefit from those who have posted before you. For help identifying hotels please be sure to include the complete amenity set associated with the property... is the $115/nite hotel have these amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Free Parking, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center If so, best guess here would be the Tropicana. If you decide to bid on PRICELINE you may get a slightly lower price for a 4 star hotel, but it may or may not be the one that is currently being offered on PRICELINE EXPRESS. The $29.50 they're currently showing is not for a specific hotel, but rather a 'worst case scenario' of the most you will end up paying in resort fees for a 4 star hotel in this zone. (if the hotel you win has a lower resort fee you'll pay the lesser amount)... at this point in the bidding process PRICELINE has not yet even checked inventory for your dates. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know what you decide and how it goes, or how we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Vegasbaby16 Posted January 25, 2016 Author Report Posted January 25, 2016 i just don't want to get stuck with something way out of the way because we will be walking everywhere(no car). This one fits our budget at $121 plus fees. Any idea what hotel it is? Thanks! 3.5 Star What hotel is this? Guest Score: Rated 7.0 out of 10 (or higher) Guaranteed Amenities: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center Check In: Fri Apr 15, 2016 Check Out: Mon Apr 18, 2016 $109 per night 1 King Bed - Nonsmoking Room $121 per night 2 Queen Beds - Nonsmoking Room And the mandatory fee is 97.44 or 32.48 per night
Vegasbaby16 Posted January 25, 2016 Author Report Posted January 25, 2016 One more - this seems like a GREAT deal on south strip with no mandatory fee - $90 per night... Jockey club? Star Rating: 3 Star What hotel is this? Guest Score: Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) guest favorite Guaranteed Amenities: Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Check In: Fri Apr 15, 2016 Check Out: Mon Apr 18, 2016 $90 per night 1 Bedroom Suite - King Bed + Queen Sofabed - Nonsmoking
thereuare Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Best guess for the 3.5* Strip North property would be Harrahs Las Vegas. I assume the 3* is in the Strip South zone? If so, the Jockey Club Suites would be my guess for this one. Vegasbaby16 Posted January 28, 2016 Author Report Posted January 28, 2016 So I went to buy the express deal 3 star in the south step and the page loaded then said this deal is no longer available. So I checked back later and still no luck. I ended up just going to the hockey club website to book. I will of course come back next time I book on Priceline and click the link and report the win. Thanks
