alexh2436
I hope I'm doing this right. Looking at the Name Your Own Price tool and have the 4-star deluxe section checked in the Santa Barbara Waterfront area (zone 6). Shows indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, and business center. Looking to spend ~$150 a night. Will I have any luck? Says median retail is $345... Really just looking for the best bidding strategy. Thank you! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! At current rates i think a 4* hotel will likely run you closer to $250/nite... but a 3.5* may be obtainable near the $150 area. Based upon the information above, If you let us know which star rating you'd like to try for first, and your maximum bid, we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. alexh2436
I understand and figured it was an outside shot. 3.5* at $150 is a good place to start then, I could see what the possible hotels average in terms of ratings to get a better idea then. Thank you! Yes, will definitely use the links to go through the BB site. Link to comment
thereuare
If you go to our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com and search for Santa Barbara (maybe change to default mileage to 10 miles to ensure you include the entire waterfront area), user the filters to only show 3 star hotels, then look at the area that is covered by PRICELINE's Santa Barbara Waterfront zone... you'll quickly and easily get an idea of which hotels in the area are considered to be 3 stars and what the regular retail rate is for your dates. Thanksforusing Let us know how you decide to proceed or how we can be of further help.
