AaronJB Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Welcome to Betterbidding. Bidding involves selecting a star rating and zone (for example, Strip North) and bidding to see if a hotel at the selected star rating in the selected zone will accept. You have to be willing to stay at any hotel in the star rating picked in the zone chosen. This is generally the cheapest of the three discount options, but only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy. PRICELINE EXPRESS deals are listings that offer you some information and a price/star rating zone, but don't tell you the hotel until after purchase and at that point it's not refundable. Some listings offer "bed choice", where you will be able to pick from varying options on the next screen. This would potentially work for 4 if you were able to find a listing with a suitable bed choice option. Because IDing several HOTWIRE listings does take a considerable amount of time, before going further, do you have any interest in either PRICELINE option? Additionally, you can see all of the hotels reported to the board here: Hotwire Hotel List Nevada - that shows the hotels that have been reported to the board and the amenities that have been seen with each. You can also see the Priceline Hotel List Nevada. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
ajdsoccerman Posted January 10, 2016 Author Report Posted January 10, 2016 Thanks for the information. I think 2,4, and 5/6 interest me the most. Any info you can provide on those would be great!
thereuare Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Best guess/comments for each: 2. Center Strip - 5* $132/night --> Jet Luxury at the Vdara 4. Center Strip - 4* $170/night --> Planet Hollywood 5. North Strip - 4* $135/night --> Treasure Island 6. South Strip - 4* 129/night --> Tropicana Hotel and Casino Do any of these work for your needs? If not, what is it that you are looking for in a hotel for this stay? (as i and a few others are quite familiar with Las Vegas) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. ajdsoccerman Posted January 11, 2016 Author Report Posted January 11, 2016 Ugh, none of those seem to interest me. I'm looking for a place that has a lively pool(s) to be at during the day. By lively, I mean a fair amount of people and a chill atmosphere (young adults age 21 - 35). I don't mean the dayclub parties either, just the hotel pools. Based on online reading, I'm thinking either the Cosmo or Caesar's is the best bet for what I'm looking for. What are your expert thoughts?
thereuare Posted January 12, 2016 Report Posted January 12, 2016 You need to be a bit flexible when you use PRICELINE and HOTWIRE as one 1-2 hotels are typically shown at each star level within each zone. As well, keep in mind that you may not necessarily have pool weather at the end of April/being of May. What would be your maximum budget (per room before fees/taxes) for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare Posted January 20, 2016 Report Posted January 20, 2016 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the "ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN" button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you searching using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to each of these listings, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
