Hotwire Hotel: Help Identifying 5 Star Hotel NYC

I am looking at hotwire to get a hotel room two queen beds, (my adult daughter and I are traveling so 2 beds and size is important ) between Jan 12-17. I see several choices......

 

Times Square South area hotel $228 per night Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s)

 

Upper East Side $320 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower

 

Empire State Building $228 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access

 

Those are some example of what I see. I am very open to suggestions. Something very nice, with great views and 2 beds or a suite. My budget is up to $340 per night, if I could end up at the Plaza I'd love to LOL.

There is no way to guarantee two beds when using Hot.wire. With NYC's infamously small rooms, two beds is often a paid upgrade and there is no guarantee a hotel will offer the option on a discount reservation. Views are also usually a paid upgrade. I'd instead suggest PRICELINE EXPRESS, given that some listings offer bed choice, such as a 5* for $305 in MTE w/2 beds as one of the options.

Does it have to be a 5* hotel?

How about TWO ROOMS at this 4 star Midtown West hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) with Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center amenities. At just $143/nite, you could get two rooms (which also means two bathrooms which makes getting ready to go out much faster), and still come in well under your $340/nite budget. My guess for this one would be The Jewel Hotel which assuming is correct, is well located and gets good reviews.

I guess it doesn't have to be exactly 5 star. I just want the biggest bang in the nicest hotel for my bucks. I always stay in the hiltons or Marriotts. I am from NYC (but left over long ago) and I know the rooms can be super tiny and pretty dated so I have been trying to seek out something a little impressive. Since it is January and a little slower in the area I believe it's a great chance to get something I would probably never actually stay in LoL. This is actually my daughters first trip to the city.

Would any of the above potential properties be of interest? Is there a different listing on PRICELINE EXPRESS or Hot.wire that would work for your needs?

 

Price.line has a 5* in MTE for $305 w/Pets Allowed, Fitness Center, Business Center for 2 beds. That listing has not yet been ID'd/reported, but my guess would be the Waldorf Towers.

 

There's also a 5* in the UES area for $352 w/an 8+ rating and two twin beds as one of the options.

 

If 2 beds is a must, then PRICELINE EXPRESS is a recommended option as you can look for a listing w/bed choice.

I know the rooms can be super tiny...

Which is why i suggested TWO rooms at a well reviewed hotel that is still under your budget. :)

The two bed requirement in NYC will often increase the price and limit your options, which is why i think the two room route provides a good option given your scenario.

In addition to the one above, i'm also seeing this 4.5* Midtown East hotel (again, confirm your dates on the landing page) with Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Free Internet, Business Center, Fitness Center for $150/nite... best guess here would be the well reviewed Hyatt 48 Lex (4.5/5.0 TA rating)

Also, just over your budget (if going for two rooms) is this 4.5 star Times Square hotel (please confirm your dates) with Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Fitness Center... my guess here would be The Muse (which is a Kimpton property and gets a 9+ user review rating from previous PRICELINE guests)
