morganc88 Posted December 14, 2015 Report Posted December 14, 2015 I am searching for a 5* hotel on the Vegas strip from 21 April to 24 April. I do have a question though, ideally we want to spend around 200 AUD per night (less would be better). On Express Deals on Priceline it seems Trump is coming up cheapest, which is the ONE hotel we DO NOT want to go to for various reasons. Is there any way of bidding and ensuring you are bidding on a casino hotel? Ideally on North Strip, any of the remaining hotels in 5* (Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn) would be perfect! Also, any tips if we were to break our budget and try and secure a room at The Cosmopolitan?
AaronJB Posted December 14, 2015 Report Posted December 14, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)While Trump may be the cheapest, that is not a guarantee that you will get that if you bid. However, there's no way to bid for a property with casino. It would be slightly over your $200AUD budget, but there's a 5* in Strip North on Hot.wire for $155 w/Resort, Casino, Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower-- Would be a possible match for the Venetian. In terms of something like the Cosmo what would be your absolute max budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
morganc88 Posted December 14, 2015 Author Report Posted December 14, 2015 Thanks - I cannot see the $155 casino hotel you mention. The only one coming up for me is the North Strip, no casino which looks like trump at 149. I am not sure what is realistic, we have been highly recommended cosmo, caesars and bellagio, but liked the look of venetian, palazzo.... thank you.
thereuare Posted December 14, 2015 Report Posted December 14, 2015 I'm seeing the HOTWIRE offer referenced above currently priced at $159/nite. If you repeat your search using the EASY VIEW tab at BiddingHelper.com, filter the results to show all 5* hotels in the Strip North zone... do you see it now? Also, try this PRICELINE EXPRESS link and repeat your search... do you then see a 5* STRIP NORTH hotel offered at $152(US)/nite with: Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ... best guess for this one would be The Palazzo or The Venetian (both are excellent, imo) and would be a little cheaper then the one referenced above. morganc88 Posted December 16, 2015 Author Report Posted December 16, 2015 Thanks - I see it now. I will probably try Name my own price for North and South Strip 5* first and see how I go. Can anyone recommend a method for this. Staying under budget?
AaronJB Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 Is it worth it to pay a slight-to-mild premium to guarantee a casino via PRICELINE EXPRESS or Hot.wire than pay slightly/mildly less to risk not getting a casino via bidding? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
morganc88 Posted December 16, 2015 Author Report Posted December 16, 2015 Possibly. I will look again. I mean at the end of the day we really didnt want trump I guess. Do you think by Naming Own Price I would have any chance at getting a 5* south strip in budget
AaronJB Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 You certainly have time to start low and try up to your max for South Strip, but a 5* under your max budget is much more likely in North Strip. In that case, it becomes do you want to try bidding and potentially get Trump (but for cheaper) or get a casino hotel for around your max via PRICELINE EXPRESS or Hot.wire? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
