Tried to snag 4.5* Priceline in DT-pike for 1 night Dec 18(Fri), 2015.  Bids for 66,68,70,72,74+tax all failed.  Finally (with this thread's assistance) snagged the express deal for $98, at the Westin Seattle (Your post was spot on and VERY helpful)

 

My goal was to get an unbelievable deal of PL's choosing, or, a solid deal with an indoor pool for my 2 kids, so, I went for the sure deal (my PL bids above only guaranteed Pool on the first  bid).

 

All in all a great deal in the area I wanted, with the amenties that will make my kids happy!!
