kimo Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 I am planning my trip to Amsterdam in January 2016. I checked Hot.wire for Central station area and it gives below deal, Area, Royal Palace - Central Station - Dam Square area hotel 4* star, 85% recommended $171 crossed to be $78 Amenities, Business center, Pet friendly, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms, Free Internet, Accessible path of travel This hotel typically charges guests a resort fee of about 5% per room per night -> (I have no idea what that is!) Any help for the hotel name before I book it? Thanks,
AaronJB Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please include the exact date/s of travel and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID. A resort fee is an additional fee charged by the hotel. This often includes some additional amenities (use of wifi, etc), but exactly what amenities and how many are included under the resort fee is going to vary depending on hotel. thereuare Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool and look in the EASY VIEW tab, do you see the following amenities: Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Travel Accessible ... if this is what you're seeing, my best guess for this one would be the Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre. kimo Posted December 6, 2015 Author Report Posted December 6, 2015 Hotwire confused me today when I checked it before making the reservation... I found 2 different options for 4* hotels now and both have blue screen says "Book soon! The last person got the Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre". The first Hotwire option is, Area, Royal Palace - Central Station - Dam Square area hotel 4* star, 85% recommended $171 crossed to be $78 Amenities, Business center, Pet friendly, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms, Free Internet, Accessible path of travel This hotel typically charges guests a resort fee of about 5% per room per night The second Hotwire option is, Area, Royal Palace - Central Station - Dam Square area hotel 4* star, 60% recommended $114 crossed to be $83 Amenities, Free Internet, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms This hotel typically charges guests a resort fee of about 5% per room per night Any idea what is the difference between the 2 deals and what could be the hotels for both of them? Thanks,
thereuare Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool and look in the EASY VIEW tab...... are you using the EASY VIEW tab to see amenity set for either/both of the above? Do you think the second property (the more expensive of the two) is going to be better then first (less expensive) property given that it has a low 60% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests? kimo Posted December 6, 2015 Author Report Posted December 6, 2015 I don't understand your question!I updated the post to see if there is a way to know the 2 hotels so I can check and choose between them. I pasted what I got from the easyview tool for amenities of the 2 deals as well. My question again, based on the info for those 2 deals is there a way to guess the 2 hotels before I book one of them?
thereuare Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 Look at the difference in the amenity set of your first post and the amenity set of my reply... you will only see the complete amenity set if you use the EASY VIEW tab (not just the 'Hotwire' tab... but the Hotwire Easy View tab) at BiddingHelper.com. As your most recent post still only provides a shortened amenity set for the original property, i'm assuming that you're using the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com to see the amenities, and not the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab. We need to first confirm the full amenity set for the properties inquired so that we know we're both seeing the same properties and to provide us with the full details of what we need to be searching for. Does that make it clearer? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
kimo Posted December 7, 2015 Author Report Posted December 7, 2015 Here is EASYVIEW info, Option1, 78.00 USD per room per night*FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible path of travel Option2, 83.00 USD per room per night*FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Internet access
thereuare Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 My guess for Option #1 remains the Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre (this is the same hotel and amenity set originally inquired above) I don't have a guess for the second property, maybe the Die Port van Cleve Hotel, but i'm not certain. However, with only 60% of previous HOTWIRE guests recommending this hotel, and it having a lower TA rating, i would sooner recommend the other property should you think that one works well for your needs. I'll add that i'm also seeing this 4 star Royal Palaca hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $87/nite with Restaurant, Free Internet, Business Center... my guess for this one would be the Hotel Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw.
