Hey all,

I am currently looking to book a hotel in New York from November 27-29. I am still thinking right now between:

1) 5 star Midtown East (416$ --> 209$, 50%). Amenities are: Fitness center, Internet access, Spa, Business center, Restaurants. It has 90% of hotwire customer reviews and 4.5/5 on tripadvisor. I honestly have been trying to figure out which hotel might this bee and still have no clue.

My other option is:

2) 5 star Central Park South (848$--> 231$, 73%). Amenities are Fitness center, Restaurants, Business center and Internet. It has 90% rate recommended on Hotwire and nothing on tripadvisor.

If you guys can help me to identify which one is what, I would really appreciate. If someone booked this recently please let me know what did you get.

Thanks a lot in advance

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please start by reading your messages (which will also remove the red box at the top of the page and make the board easier to navigate)

For the MTE property I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 5 star Midtown East hotel in this zone when searching for your dates:

Fitness

Restaurant

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Spa

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Wheelchair Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

... if this is what you're seeing, my guess for this one would be the Lotte New York Palace (which as recently discussed in another thread, isn't really in the MTE zone, it's actually not included in any HOTWIRE zone, as it sits in a 'dead area' between MTE and the Rockefeller Center zone.

For the CPS i'm not sure, possibly the Park Lane upgraded to the 5* level since it was last reported to the board or The Viceroy... but difficult to say and could be some other property not yet reported to the board as just about every 5* hotel in NYC offers the four amenities listed and there are no additional clues offered by HOTWIRE.

If you are interested in The Viceroy i believe it is this 4.5 star Central Park South hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $216/nite with Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Free Internet

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
