Priceline Hotel: Chattanooga Downtown - finally gave up

The last time I went through Chattanooga in June 2014 was able to secure a downtown 3* room for $48 (Choo Choo). Going to be passing through again on Sat 11/21. About a week ago I started bidding at $46 for a 2.5*, went back again and again increasing by $2-3 each time, finally gave up after reaching $68 with no success. At that price point I went with a regular reservation at the Red Roof suites (2*) with the flexibility to cancel.
