Could this be the New York Palace again even though it does not list Rockefeller?

What are the dates of this stay and what is the room rate per nite?

How long ago did you make your previous hotwire new york purchase?

This is a tough one...

Usually the 'quick' answer is that it would be a different hotel since this is a different zone. I don't know if the zone boundaries have changed (slightly) in the last two days, but currently it doesn't appear that The New York Palace is in any zone.

Accordingly to the map i'm currently looking at, The Palace is on the east side of Madison Ave b/w 50th and 51st Streets... which if you zoom in on HOTWIRE's map, is the 'dead space' between the Rockefeller Center zone and the Midtown East zone.

It's possible that these were the zones a few days ago but HOTWIRE has since learned that the hotel is actually outside of the zone, they made a decision to extend the MTE zone, and this will be reflected in the next few days as they roll-out an update to their site.

Sorry i can't give you a more definitive answer, but hopefully the above gives you a sense of what i think are the important details that i'm observing, and you can decide how much of a risk it is that you're willing to accept... it does look like a nice deal for a 5* hotel, but would it absolutely ruin your plans if this second purchase ended up doing a different property? (the zones are fairly close to each other so it's likely, should this be some other property, that you'd still be within walking distance)

Good luck!

The 'Last person got ___' information is relative the last person how bought a hotel of this star rating in the zone, not necessarily the specific hotel (and amenity set) currently being offered.

This does increase the likelihood that HOTWIRE is now including this property in the MTE zone, even though the zone boundaries on the HOTWIRE map still show this location not begin in any zone.

If you were looking to avoid the Park Palace i think it would be an easier decision, since if you made this purchase and received the Park Palace you could argue that it is outside of the zone you chose... but may be a bit more difficult to take this plunge since you're hoping to receive the Park Plaza, and should it be some other property that is located in the zone you won't have much/any recourse.

Although i will add that the zone isn't that large... the zone is only about a 10 minute walk from the eastern most and western most boarders (and about the same from north to south)
