thesqueegeekid
I was flipping through my recent accepted bids and I noticed that one of them (Doral Forrestal, Princeton, NJ) has been downgraded to a 3*. Has anyone had any experience with this ... refunds etc???The 3 night stay was just completed on Sept. 1, 2003.Its funny how PL's system automatically (sneakingly) changes your acceptance page BUT the star level you bid for originally is still recorded on the "my trips" list. Here is my original post of the winning bid....http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?act...T&f=119&t=1853& Link to comment
thereuare
I'd send them an email stating that you just completed your stay and you didn't think it was worthy of a 4* hotel (and give a reason or two, i'm sure you can think of something). Then tell them that somebody else you know just won this hotel and it indeed has been downgraded to a 3* and you feel that you didn't get what you paid for with your 4* purchase. Then ask for some form of compensation (i'd ask for whatever you think is fair and appropriate rather than just let them decide).Let us know how it works out. thesqueegeekid
Thank you for taking the time to send us an e-mail. We understand that you would like to know whether you can receive a compensation as the hotel in which you stayed a couple of weeks ago is at present a 3 star hotel and not a 4 star hotel.******* in order to better assist you, we have made arrangements for you to speak with a Customer Care Consultant. Please call as soon as possible at 1-800-PRICELINE (1-800-774-2354). You will be able to speak with a Representative by entering your Request Number and your phone number when prompted.
