JasmineF
First time bidding on Priceline so I was a little unsure. Have to thank this board - got lot's of good advice before I bid.I had to bid through the UK site, so it was in sterling. Started at STG 50.00, which is about $90 dollars. Last refusal was at STG 60.00 which is about $107. Finally accepted at STG 65.00 which is about $115 dollars. Including the taxes it works out at about $135 per night. I think I probably increased the last bid by a little too much - I should have gone up in STG 1.00 at that stage - but I got slightly confused! I deal in Euro, am used to knowing the value of hotels in the States in dollars, but had to bid in Sterling!Anyway, it is still cheaper than the 4* which Hotwire offered ($150 pn including taxes) and certainly a lot cheaper than any of the other travel website offers. Considering it's July, I think I did ok.JasmineF. Link to comment
