Hotwire Hotel: Bidding Help- 12/18-12/20/15- Central Park South

Hello All-

 

This is my first time posting (so sorry if I do something wrong) I was hoping for some help identifying some hotels on Hotwire.

 

For my dates 12/18-12/20/15 there are several 5 star options in the Central Park South zone.

 

The two I'm interested in are:

 

5 Star Hotel $257 (from $791)

Weekend Deal!

75% Recommended 

Business Center, Restaurant, Internet, Fitness

 

5 Star Boutique Hotel $288 (from $394)

95% Recommended

Free Internet, Business, Boutique, Restaurant

 

Since the Central Park South Zone is fairly new, I made a list of all hotels currently available on the general list in the zone (I know this doesn't really mean much but figured could be helpful)

 

Trump

Mandarin Oriental

Park Hyatt

Viceroy

the Quin

1 Hotel

Ritz Central Park

The Plaza

Four Seasons

The Pierre

Loews Regency

 

I obviously like the idea of the 5 star with the bigger discount but the 75% recommended worries me.  Looking at the list above, I'd be happy with almost anything (the only one that worries me is the Pierre...which very well could be the one)  In the reviews, all of these hotels have recommendation rates in the 90s so I'm wondering if there is another 5 star hotel that isn't showing up (but I haven't found any on other internet sources).

 

I'm not sure what definition they use for boutique but that may be the safer option (I'm guessing it's probably the Quin, Vicery, or 1 Hotel, which all look nice)

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ignore the discount information as the crossed out rate is an average price of hotels at this star rating in this zone, not necessarily the regular rate of the underlying hotel currently being offered.

I don't have a good guess for the first property as the limited amenities shown are too common for a 5* hotel in NYC... an upgrade to the 5* level for the Park Lane is a possibility, but i would not be surprised if it was something else.

Also, note that HOTWIRE has a new interface that only shows a limited number of amenities for each hotel. For the second offer, if you search using our BiddingHelper.com tool and use the EASY VIEW tab to see the complete set of amenities, do you see the following for this offer:
